Boy, I'm bad!

I knew when I started this blog that I would go a while in between posts! Well, it is the end of summer vacation. I officially start school on Monday, Aug 17. This week I am going in to get my classroom ready. When I walked in there yesterday it felt like I never left. I'm fortunate to feel at home in that big room. This summer was wonderful. I loved spending so much time with my kids, and while I am excited and happy to be going back to school, my heart breaks a little when I realize that means I am not going to be waking up with the kids and getting them their breakfast every morning. But I love teaching and feel like if I don't teach, I won't be me. We finished the summer off well though! Our big adventure was when J, the kids, my mom, Jim, my bro, his gf, and I went to Chicago for a Cubs game to celebrate J's bday. The kids behaved so well and we all had so much fun! Addie's First Movie

Yesterday Jeremie took Addie to her first movie. I was a little jealous that I was not there to see her reaction and be with her for this fun event, but I know it is important for daddys and daughters to do fun things together, and I got to spend some time with Gavin, so it was nice. Jeremie said Addie did well. She very much enjoyed her popcorn and slurpee. After the two of them got home, I went out with my mom shopping. Since the kids have been born, she and I haven't gone out shopping by ourselves more than a couple times, so it was really nice! After we got back from our shopping trip I did not feel like cooking so J and I decided to order pizza and have my mom and bro down to help eat it! We had a great time just hanging out together. Addie kept saying she wanted to spend the night at Nana's so she did. With only one kid to keep out of trouble Jeremie and I watched Valkyrie. It was really good, better than I expected. First Time Blog

Addie is here with me for our first blog. She wants to do it of course. I'm not really sure what to write about because I feel that I could write a ton. We are enjoying summer so much. I expected myself to really want to go back to school after a couple of weeks but the kids are at great ages and keep me very busy! I also have some goals that I am trying to reach, and I have found some new reality TV shows that I like watching (even though I said I was not going to do that! Darn.) Today was a rougher day than most. I decided that I am not taking the kids out to eat anymore. Not until they are past this phase when as soon as we get in public they start misbehaving. Well, I will try to keep this updated as best as I can! Here are some pics from this summer so far. Enjoy!
