Boy, I'm bad!

I knew when I started this blog that I would go a while in between posts! Well, it is the end of summer vacation. I officially start school on Monday, Aug 17. This week I am going in to get my classroom ready. When I walked in there yesterday it felt like I never left. I'm fortunate to feel at home in that big room. This summer was wonderful. I loved spending so much time with my kids, and while I am excited and happy to be going back to school, my heart breaks a little when I realize that means I am not going to be waking up with the kids and getting them their breakfast every morning. But I love teaching and feel like if I don't teach, I won't be me. We finished the summer off well though! Our big adventure was when J, the kids, my mom, Jim, my bro, his gf, and I went to Chicago for a Cubs game to celebrate J's bday. The kids behaved so well and we all had so much fun!
